How WedGenie makes money
Couples pay for WedGenie. Vendors don't. That is the whole business, and it is why a vendor can never buy a place in what the Genie shows you.
Who pays us
- WedGenie Pro: $14.99 a month or $99 a year.
- Credit packs: from $9.99, one-time, for AI couple photos, dress try-ons, invitations and save-the-date videos.
What we don't sell
- Placements. There are no sponsored placements anywhere. Rankings are merit and fit, never who pays.
- Your details. WedGenie does not sell leads to vendors.
- Discounts for some. There are no discount codes. Everyone pays the listed price.
- Commissions. We have no active affiliate partnerships. If that changes, our affiliate disclosure will say so.
What's free, and where it stops
- 10 messages with the Genie with no account, then 20 a month with a free account.
- 2 speech drafts a day and 2 photo generations with a free account.
- The planning tools run on the page, and most need no sign-up.
- Beyond that, photos, try-ons, invitations and videos use credits.
Why this matters to you
Most wedding apps are free because someone else pays for them: vendors through advertising, or guests through registry sales. That is a fair model, and it is worth knowing when an app recommends a vendor. We compare who pays each app in best wedding planning apps.
