Cookie Policy

WedGenie uses a deliberately short list of first-party cookies — no advertising networks and no cross-site tracking. Here is the complete list:

• Sign-in session (essential) — keeps you logged in to your account. Set by our authentication provider (Supabase); lasts for your session.
• Anonymous session (essential) — a random ID that lets you try the planner without an account and keeps your trial plan so it can carry over if you sign up. Lasts 30 days.
• Hashtag tool counter (functional) — counts your free hashtag generations for the day. Lasts 24 hours.
• Ad-click attribution (measurement) — if you arrive from an ad, we store the click identifier (e.g. gclid) and campaign tags so we know the ad worked. Not set for normal visits.
• Site analytics (measurement) — a random ID that lets us see how people move through our own site: which pages you visit, how far you scroll, what you click, and whether a step like signing up worked. It is first-party only, never shared, never used to track you on other sites, and never used for advertising. It does not record what you type. Lasts 1 year.

We also use your browser's localStorage for two things: remembering checkout sessions you've started so purchases are counted exactly once, and a short-lived ID that groups one browsing session together for the analytics above.

Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the essential ones means chat sessions and sign-in won't work — the rest of the site will.
